Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnnekymes and she were both among the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July of 1971. Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. She was a teenager when she began her journey into the world of music winning local competitions as early as 10 years of age and recording her debut album at 14 years old. In 1985, she enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 released her debut solo album. She was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
