Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a performer, writer, director and producer. She is most famous for her role as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written as well as directed and appeared in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She was also part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter of a psychiatrist and an artist named Diane Benson, was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. Benson has a younger sister Danielle, who works as an artist. The father of her is Jewish and her mother born and raised in the state of Alabama. Southern Baptist Benson grew up attending a Reform synagogue located in Alabama.
